POSITION SPECIFICS
The Department of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a fulltimeAssistant Teaching Professor position in Classics beginning August 2025.
Responsibilities include teaching general survey courses such as Greek Civilization Roman Civilization and Classical Mythology as well as Latin language. This position will include resident and online instruction and normal university service. The teaching load during the academic year is six courses typically three per semester. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job.
A Ph.D. in Classics or related field is required by the appointment date. This is a nontenuretrack position.
