Computershare have a very exciting opportunity for a Junior Java Developer to join our team in Edinburgh.

A role you will love
Based at either our Bristol or Edinburgh offices Computershare Technology Services (CTS) is seeking talented a Junior Developer to join our Employee Share Plans organisation. You will work collaboratively within our crossfunctional teams to deliver high quality maintainable software solutions across a portfolio of applications and supporting frameworks that deliver business value and meet stakeholder expectations while building on the sustainability of those solutions.
We are currently building out solutions that cover various geographies around the globe. We have completed our first region in Europe and are now moving onto Australia the US and Asia. This means that there are some great opportunities to be involved in an exciting highprofile project in which youll have the chance to collaborate with colleagues all over the world.
Some key responsibilities:
- Learn and apply expert knowledge of industry standards policies and organisational structure so that you can work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues across wider technology functions.
- Proactively evaluate and resolve technical challenges and blockers to minimise their impact on the teams delivery and/or supported products.
- Research emerging technologies and practices to propose improvements and innovations that would benefit the business.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of technical and nontechnical audiences to: share knowledge and complex ideas; provide updates; influence; challenge; and take on feedback.
- Continue to learn and develop your skill sets and knowledge.
What will you bring to the role

You will be working with stakeholders across the wider technology teams and business so communication will be key. You will have the ability to build effective working relationships with people from both a technical and nontechnical background.

- Experience or good knowledge of Agile development practices and working environments
- Some experience or good knowledge in Java Development
- A willingness to learn and develop your skill sets
