DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: (Required)
The City of Austin D/B/A Austin Energy requires the services of a Project Manager hereafter referred to as Worker who meets the general qualifications of a Project Manager 2 and the specifications outlined in this document for Austin Energy.

Austin Energy is the 7th largest communityowned electric utility in the country. We serve more than 500000 customers and a population over one
million. We provide service within the City of Austin Travis County and a small portion of Williamson County. Our annual revenues total $1.3 billion. The Utility has a diverse generation portfolio of more than 3000 megawatts of traditional generation and renewable energy. Austin Energy has led the nation in sales of renewable energy by a utilitysponsored program for the last seven years in a row. The Utility also offers some of the most comprehensive rebates in the country for residential and commercial customers to make energyefficiency improvements to their homes and buildings

Minimum (Required): insert specific minimum skills for this Contract Position) Years Skills/Experience 47 4 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 4 Minimum of four 4 years of progressive broadbased information systems system integration and project delivery experience. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative independent judgment and creativity in completing projects with a clear start and stop date. Experience working with external vendors and/or Quality Assurance efforts.

Years Skills/Experience 24
Experience working with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Power Automate including the development of Power Automate process flows. Understands communication protocols for ERCOT metering and telemetry. Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures of registration and interconnection of distributed generation resources to ERCOT.

WORK DESCRIPTION: (Add specifics of this contract)
This position will support IT System integration for Austin Energys (AE s) new ResiliencyasaService (RaaS) program. As mandated by TX Legislation SB 398 of the 87th Regular Session Austin Energy is implementing a program that supports the installation and grid interconnection of onsite commercial and industrial distributed energy resources (DERs) that provide backup power to the host customer during a grid outage and that are also capable of Austin Energy dispatch during peak ERCOT scenarios. This contract employee will develop a Microsoft Power Automate project tracking system that tracks RaaS projects from intake to the permission to operate stage. Such a tracking system will be capable of process flows that can generate notifications to relevant business unit personnel of project status at all stages. Support is also needed to integrate this new service with existing AE IT software and systems such as meter data management systems (MDMS) Generation Management Systems (GMS) and ERCOT metering and reporting requirements. In doing so the contractor hired for this position will work with other AE business units such as AE metering AE IT as well as generation vendors to ensure Austin Energy correctly communicates distributed generation resource status to ERCOT in real time and monthly settlements. Some onsite testing of communication equipment may be required.

Familiarity with network operation centers (NOCs) generation management systems (GMS) and Inter Control Center Communications Protocol (ICCP) in interconnecting distributed resources behind the meter and in front of the meter with the Austin Energy distribution grid as well as the ERCOT transmission grid.
