This is a temporary position.

The Senior Manager Hotel Social Media Strategy will manage the daytoday implementation and governance of Marriotts hotel social strategy across US & Canada. Reporting to the Senior Director Content & Creative this role will play a key role in driving the strategic vision for Marriotts propertylevel social media serving as the central resource for propertylevel social media excellence balancing strategic oversight with practical implementation. Core responsibilities of this role include revitalizing the propertylevel social media strategy and guidelines leading development of toolkits and creative templates overseeing propertylevel social media across the continent socializing strategies with key stakeholders and channel managers maintaining and enforcing guidelines and leading reporting. Success in this role is demonstrated through increased property engagement with social media guidelines measurable ROI improvements across the portfolio and the establishment of a cohesive brandaligned social media presence that drives business results.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree required in Marketing Communications or related disciplines.
  • 6 years experience in social media marketing content marketing or related function demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and defining social strategies.
  • Experience with paid social/digital marketing and advertising execution.
  • Solid understanding of social marketing trends and industry best practices.
  • Experience and success in a highly matrixed crossfunctional organization.
  • Proficient in platforms such as Sprinklr and Facebook Business Manager.
  • Experience contracting and managing agencies/vendors.

CORE WORK ACTIVITES

  • Develop strategy & best practices for hotel social media across US CAN
  • Champion the proper creation and maintenance of hotel social media accounts to guarantee security and integrity
  • Lead brandspecific toolkit and creative resource development with agency partner
  • Liase with Global Social Media Operations (GSMO) Customer Engagement Center (CEC) and Brand Marketing teams
  • Collaborate with the GSMO team on hotel social media needs particularly regarding system and platform functionality as well as social media networks
  • Gather insights and present hotel feedback to the GSMO on platforms tools and resources and work across teams to address issues and enhancement/refinement opportunities as appropriate
  • Support process for Sprinklr access and onboarding across hotels and 3rd party vendors. Coordinate with GSMO on Sprinklr office hours and training sessions for hotels in the US and Canada.
  • Serve as daytoday point of contact for social related questions from property teams
  • Partner with SEO team to integrate SEO best practices into hotel social strategy
  • Continuously analyze hotel social performance and provide strategic recommendations based on findings
  • Conduct and manage audits of hotel social media presence leverage social media management tools
  • Support communications & operations teams with conveying best practices resources and guidelines via comms channels
  • Support new hotels with social media strategy as they enter the portfolio
  • Partner with Legal and HR teams on the development and maintenance of content governance

The pay range for this position is $47.35 to $67.26 per hour.

Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
