SUMMARY OF ASSIGNMENT
Under the direction and supervision of the ECEAP Director or designee the Lead Teacher will develop and implement a daily classroom program in accordance with ECEAP standards and service delivery plan. This position will plan instruction teach motivate inspire and assess students in the ECEAP program. This position will promote a highquality education program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design written lesson plans on a weekly basis using ECEAP
- Organize and present a classroom program (including related field trips) following ECEAP Program Standards and District Policies incorporating ECEAP curriculum goals in all developmental
- Implement and supervise developmentally appropriate learning activities. Build positive relationships with
- Observe and assess childrens development
- Maintain close contact with families in compliance with ECEAP
- Develop knowledge and skills in the area of Early Childhood Education through participation in
- Evaluate the needs of individual children using a variety of means (screening tools checklist enrollment information observations and parent interviews) plan a program that responds to the childrens individual developmental levels and needs.
- Maintain orderly written records on individual children as required by ECEAP Program Standards. Learn to manage the Teaching Strategies Gold and Early Learning Management System (ELMS) online including online curriculum planning.
- Plan for childrens transition from the ECEAP program to the public school system according to the ECEAP Program Standards.
- Maintain communication with the ECEAP Director staff and
- Prepare snacks serve and clean up after Check off attendance for snack at point of service and attend ECEAP training.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing school district rules administrative regulations and board
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and
- Requires the use of multiple communication systems such as electronic mail and
- Inspect school or district facilities for the purpose of ensuring that the site is suitable for safe operations maintained in an attractive and clean condition and/or identifying necessary repairs due to vandalism equipment breakage weather conditions etc.
- The employee shall maintain a consistent presence at the assigned work site(s) and work the regular work hours specified by the contract.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior ECEAP experience.
- Background in early childhood education and elementary curriculum.
- Preferential consideration to an applicant with an accredited fouryear degree in Early Childhood Education or (12) college quarter credits in Early Childhood Education.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A fouryear degree from an accredited public or private institution of higher education in the field of early childhood education or child development and two years of successful work experience with adults/parents and young children;
- OR
- Three years of successful relevant documented work experience in a preschool child care or kindergarten setting AND one of the following:
- A twoyear or fouryear degree in any field from an accredited public or private institution of higher education and at least thirty quarter units or equivalent semester hours in the field of early childhood education or child development; or
- A valid Washington State elementary education teaching certificate with an endorsement in early childhood education (preK Grade 3) or special education with an emphasis in early childhood education.
- First aid and CPR card within 90 days of hire.
- Completion of tuberculosis (TB) skin test unless there is written proof of one of the following:
- A negative TB test in the 12 months prior to hiring
- Medication therapy to treat TB
- A recent negative chest Xray and a statement from a healthcare provider that the individual does not pose a risk to others.
- Maintain a valid food handlers permit issued by Spokane County Health District.
- Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later).
- Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.
- Completion of all districtrequired training within thirty (30) calendar days from the hire date.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work yearare determined by thenegotiated agreement and the needs of the District.
Verification of identity and United States work authorizationmust becompleted before employment commences. The successful candidate for thispositionmust complete a fingerprinted background check with the Washington State Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Employment is contingent upon clearance of the background check.
