Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum of three (3) years of commercial cleaning experience with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively using the English language when deemed necessary.
Ability to read labels instructions and regulations; ability to fill out forms logs and requisition forms; maintain records; and perform simple mathematics.
Good work record to include attendance and job ratings.
Knowledge and training in general custodial duties to include all aspects of cleaning and operation of custodial equipment.
Skill in handling and using grounds and lawn care equipment.
Ability to supervise other custodial personnel.
Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds; ability to climb ladders and work at various heights.
Some knowledge in carpentry electricity heating/ventilating and plumbing.
Responsibilities:
Supervise night custodial shift.
Distribute supplies to night custodial staff keep inventory of all supplies and equipment.
Secure building including locking all windows and doors at the end of the shift.
Assist Building Service Manager in maintenance and energy conservation procedures.
Assume role of Building Service Manager in absence of same.
Supervise substitute custodians including orientation of building and work areas.
Ensure absent custodians work area is cleaned.
Maintain building and grounds as required.
