Job Description:
Position: Graduate Assistant Athletics Creative Content
Compensation: $12000 annual stipend plus 18 credits per academic year
Reports to: Associate AD for Communications and Content Strategy
General position summary: Serving as a key member of the communications and content strategy department the Athletics Creative Content Graduate Assistant will conceptualize build and schedule content for social media and the athletics website to visually represent Fairfield Athletics its 20 varsity programs and more than 500 studentathletes.
The position is renewable for a second year by mutual agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop create and manage the production of creative assets including graphics and video for distribution on social media channels and
Assist in developing and maintaining the voice of Fairfield Athletics on department social media channels including Twitter Instagram and Facebook
Work collaboratively with external team to develop key engagement metrics working with department social media channels to showcase growth areas of improvement etc.
Serve as a primary or secondary media relations contact for select sports including writing press releases for
Required Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelors degree and acceptance into a Fairfield University graduate program. Strong written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Preferred Software Skills:
Adobe Creative Suite
Canva/BoxOut Sports
Familiarity with social media platforms (Twitter Instagram Facebook TikTok YouTube etc.)
