Our client is a privately held commercial GC/developer with a 30year track record of highprofile mixeduse multifamily and lightindustrial projects across the Southeast. Annual revenues exceed $300 M and the finance team is expanding to support a growing project pipeline.
Own the numbers for $50100 M in active projects be the goto accounting expert for project managers and executives.
Mentorship & growth: You ll supervise a junior accountant today and step into an Accounting Manager track within 18 24 months.
Impact: Shape jobcost controls WIP reporting and cashflow forecasting as the company scales to $500 M.
Lead fullcycle job cost accounting: budgets commitments change orders and costtocomplete analyses.
Prepare monthly WIP schedules & percentageofcompletion revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
Manage project billings subcontractor pay apps and retention; resolve discrepancies with PMs & vendors.
Drive monthend close for construction entities journal entries accruals balancesheet recs and variance analysis.
Compile consolidated financial statements and KPI dashboards for senior leadership & lending partners.
Ensure sales/use tax and lien waiver compliance across multistate projects.
Partner with operations to implement process improvements (e.g. Procore Sage 300 or Viewpoint upgrades).
Support the annual audit and CPA review; liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
Bachelor s in Accounting or Finance (CPA or progress toward CPA/CMA highly preferred).
5 years of construction accounting with heavy jobcost/WIP exposure in a GC developer or large subcontractor.
Advanced proficiency in construction ERPs (Sage 300 CRE Viewpoint/Vista Foundation or similar).
Solid grasp of percentageofcompletion GAAP and revenuerecognition standards (ASC 606).
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables lookups) and comfort wrangling large data sets.
Proven ability to communicate with project teams and meet demanding deadlines.
Base salary: $95 K $120 K DOE annual bonus
