Job Description

Position Overview

Assist staff in the Office of Facility Use with the facility use process including use of automated computer software and system applications for facility use of LCPS facilities and grounds. The work includes entering and managing data applicable to the use of 100 sites within Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). The work requires knowledge of information technology hardware and software database systems and office processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate:

  • Assist with daily operations of the LCPS facility use process.
  • Assist with responses to facility use inquiries from staff and community members and organization representatives related to the facility use process.
  • Process registrations for new community organizations requesting approval for use of LCPS facilities and grounds following detailed direction governing Policy and Regulation.
  • Processes weekly facility use payment deposit ensuring accuracy for payment credits applicable to facility use fees.
  • Performs related work as assigned by the Facility Use Coordinator.

Qualifications

Below are the qualifications for this position:

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Experience in database management and hardware and software processes; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the following knowledge abilities and skills:
    • Considerable knowledge of standard office software such as spreadsheets databases word processing budgeting and facility use procedures
    • Ability to process technical computer software applications; to maintain accurate and complete records
  • Good human relations and communications skills

Physical Requirements

The following provides a brief description of physical requirements for this position:

The work is mostly sedentary with periods of light physical activity and is performed in office surroundings. Typical positions require workers to walk or stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; climb stairs bend reach hold grasp and turn objects; and use fingers to operate computer keyboards. The work requires the ability to speak normally and to use normal or aided vision and hearing devices.
