A wellestablished and sustainabilitydriven distributor and fabricator of highperformance plastic materials is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Houstonbased team. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional with 5 years of experience in the plastics industry—particularly in manufacturing or industrial fabrication—who thrives on building client relationships driving revenue growth and pursuing longterm career development in a collaborative growthfocused environment.
What you will be doing:
Generate new business and grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities and managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers managing projects and maintaining strong client relationships.
Promote and sell plastic sheets rods tubes machined parts and industrial plastic machining services.
Travel within the assigned territory to meet clients negotiate contracts and introduce product updates and new offerings.
Collaborate with the Austin branch team through ongoing training and skill development.
Monitor industry trends and propose strategic marketing initiatives.
Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team performance.
Experience you will need:
Minimum 5 years of experience in the plastics or related industry with a focus on manufacturing or industrial fabrication.
Strong technical aptitude; background in part fabrication is preferred.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—including presentations.
Proficiency with Office 365 tools (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Bachelor’s degree in Business Engineering or a related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
