Job Description

Job Title: Preop Recovery Registered Nurse (FullTime)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PreOp/Recovery RN to join our team at our stateoftheart multispecialty ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering safe highquality patient care in both the preoperative and postanesthesia recovery phases. This role requires strong clinical skills attention to detail and a collaborative mindset to ensure optimal patient outcomes across a variety of surgical specialties.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and patient education

  • Initiate IV therapy administer medications and monitor vital signs

  • Prepare patients for surgery in coordination with the surgical and anesthesia teams

  • Provide Phase I and Phase II PACU care including pain management and discharge readiness

  • Monitor for complications and respond to emergencies according to ACLS/PALS protocols

  • Accurately document patient information

  • Communicate effectively with patients families physicians and interdisciplinary staff

  • Ensure adherence to infection control and safety procedures

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance standards

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Michigan

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in PreOp PACU or critical care preferred

  • Current BLS ACLS required (PALS preferred or willingness to obtain)

  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery or hospital setting strongly preferred

  • Strong critical thinking organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced patientfocused environment
