Job Description
Seeking a Milling Machine Operator for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Ivyland PA.
This position offers full benefits including PTO Medical Dental and 401k!
Pay is between $28 $33 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Operate milling machines keyseaters drill presses tapping equipment and broaching tools to fabricate and finish metal components.
- Perform precision hand grinding deburring and polishing to meet quality and dimensional specifications.
- Assist in the setup calibration and maintenance of machines to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Utilize electric hand tools including drills and saws to prepare and modify parts.
- Use micrometers tapes calipers and other inspection devices to ensure quality.
- Operate overhead crane for moving work pieces on and off machines and throughout the workflow process.
- May be required to track jobs via company job process tracking software.
- Flexibility and desire to work on other projects and tasks as required and assigned.
- Maintain machines and work in a clean and safe manner.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant work experience as a machinist.
- Must be proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.
- Knowledgeable in machining practice for various materials (i.e. steels bronze nylon etc.
- Must be proficient in basic shop math.
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/ position parts and components.
- Must be able to climb onto work surfaces.
- Must be able to maintain machines that are worked on.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be dedicated to working safely.
- Must be receptive to constructive feedback.
- Must be reliable and able to work scheduled hours and comply with the companys time keeping policies and all other company policies.
- Must be able to stand for entire work shift. Ability to work overtime when required to fulfill shop needs and customer orders a must.
