Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Systems Engineering Manager in Oklahoma City OK. The Airplane Integration Office (AIO) Manager will report to the Deputy Chief Engineer for the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) platforms. This position will involve managing a team of engineers tasked with supporting the office of the chief engineering in program execution. This manager will need to have the ability to interface with multiple external customers along with as many internal teams and IPTs.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.
Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
Manages develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
Good communication skills
Ability to lead a team
Understand engineering aspects of an airplane modification program
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Previous management/leadership experience
