The University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute has an exciting opportunity for a Perv Diem Senior Anesthesia Technician to work in the Palm Beach Gardens Florida facility. The Senior Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia care provider with acquiring preparing and using equipment supplies and medications during the administration of anesthesia. The Senior Anesthesia Technician assists with special procedures and provides support for routine and complex surgical cases.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Cleans sterilizes disinfects orders and maintains routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
Maintains anesthesia medications according to facilitys needs.
Cleans organizes and maintains anesthesia workroom.
Prepares and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems pre intra and post anesthesia while taking into consideration agespecific issues.
Performs basic troubleshooting for monitors and equipment and reports defective equipment and malfunctions to appropriate staff.
Maintains quality improvement safety environmental and infection control standards.
Documents preventative maintenance and preserves quality records.
Assists with transport of patients and laboratory specimens and travels between facilities or other treatment locations.
Builds and maintains effective working relationships with anesthesia department staff and works collaboratively with nurse circulators and surgical service and equipment technicians.
Adheres to University and unitlevel policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
Certification and Licensing:
