About this role
Carrier HVAC in North America has an opportunity for a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our team.
The Junior Procurement Specialist will be working onsite out of the Charlotte NC location.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop supplier relationships for open communication channels
- Own and manage suppliers relationship and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (i.e. ontime delivery past due purchase order) to ensure smooth site operations
- Execute request for proposals to ensure procurement of emergency materials or the site
- Collaborate with global commodity team/leaders to develop category strategies
- Respond and resolve factory and supplier issues or problems
- Manage and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
- Reconcile invoices (i.e. approved payments resolve invoice discrepancies)
- Monitor and analyze contract performance to ensure contractual obligations compliance
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in supply chain engineering business or finance
- Driven employee with desire to grow in career
- Strong analytical thinker
- Listen and learn attentively to apply new knowledge effectively
- English verbal oral and written communication
- Microsoft Office tools especially Excel
