About this role

Carrier HVAC in North America has an opportunity for a Junior Procurement Specialist to join our team.

The Junior Procurement Specialist will be working onsite out of the Charlotte NC location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop supplier relationships for open communication channels
  • Own and manage suppliers relationship and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (i.e. ontime delivery past due purchase order) to ensure smooth site operations
  • Execute request for proposals to ensure procurement of emergency materials or the site
  • Collaborate with global commodity team/leaders to develop category strategies
  • Respond and resolve factory and supplier issues or problems
  • Manage and process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Reconcile invoices (i.e. approved payments resolve invoice discrepancies)
  • Monitor and analyze contract performance to ensure contractual obligations compliance

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain engineering business or finance
  • Driven employee with desire to grow in career
  • Strong analytical thinker
  • Listen and learn attentively to apply new knowledge effectively
  • English verbal oral and written communication
  • Microsoft Office tools especially Excel
