As a Software Engineer on the WW Stores FinTech team you will design and build the architecture of our nextgeneration data infrastructure systems. Youll design and build realtime data analysis and processing capabilities define storage solution patterns and design secure data access frameworks. Youll design and build our analytics platform that ensures scalability reliability and performance. As a technical leader youll mentor software engineers and data engineers while driving enterprisewide initiatives that reshape our data processing and analysis capabilities.

Key job responsibilities
Design and implement enterprisescale data infrastructure and processing solutions establishing architectural patterns that optimize performance security and reliability.
Develop storage and analysis solutions that meet the needs of a largescale financial ecosystem.
Mentor and develop team members on system design principles distributed systems and cloud architecture best practices. Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing architectures and reduce technical debt.
Lead technical initiatives establishing engineering standards and best practices that elevate code quality and data integrity. Guide team members through design and implementation challenges while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Partner with software managers product managers and data engineers to ensure successful delivery of solutions that meet business objectives and technical requirements for secure realtime data analysis and processing.
About the team
The Worldwide Amazon Stores Finance Technology (WWASFT) team is the dedicated technology partner for Amazons global Amazon Stores (AS) organization. Our mission is to deliver innovative technical solutions that empower Amazon Stores financial and operational processes and systems. We provide advanced stateoftheart tools and services to support over 4000 Finance endusers across all Consumer and Operations finance verticals. Our team owns and maintains a suite of centralized fintech products enabling critical financial activities including planning variance analysis allocations data management analytics reporting and compliance and controllership functions. Through our work we drive efficiency accuracy and strategic decisionmaking across Amazons vast financial ecosystem.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
3 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
3 years of computer science fundamentals (objectoriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
3 years of serverside development experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) experience
5 years of computer science fundamentals (objectoriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
