• Pelham Hospital: 830 Pelham Parkway Pelham NY 10803

• Yonkers Hosptial: 2290 Central Park Ave Yonkers NY 10710

The Pay Range for this is $25.32$36.57/hour.

The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area with the specific rate determined based on the candidates experience skill level abilities education and may vary depending on location or minimum wage laws.

Requirements:

• Veterinary Technician Licensure Certification or Registration (LVT CVT or RVT)

• Or Vet Tech Students who are currently in the process of graduating and completing accreditation

Role responsibilities

• Provide furry feathered and scaled pets with the best possible care especially preventive care

• Build close relationships with pets and the humans who love them

• Work closely with teammates and cultivate a positive dynamic work culture

• Impact the future of veterinary medicine with your own expertise and ways of practicing medicine

• Exemplify the Mars Five Principles Quality Responsibility Mutuality Efficiency and Freedom

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care advocate for pets and educate clients.

• With each hospital function assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.

• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your states Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.

• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Optimum Wellness Plan options medications and additional treatments.

• Assist in maintaining relevant comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems including Banfields database PetWare designed to obtain data for population research.

• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.

• Use safe restraining techniques follow standard protocols and sustain clean sterile organized treatment areas exam rooms and labs.

• Be willing to guide mentor and support fellow team members.
