SUMMARY:
The College of Business (COB) at East Texas A&M University is seeking an experienced leader to serve as Associate Dean. The position is a fulltime 9month tenured position at the Associate or Full Professor rank with one course per long semester teaching responsibilities. The position is responsible for ensuring smooth operations within the college. The Associate Dean will support special programs within the college and is responsible for daytoday operation of the college in the absence of the Dean. The Associate Dean serves on the COB Executive Committee and leads the committee in the absence of the Dean.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides teaching scholarly activity and service consistent with rank
- Serves as a role model and mentor for faculty staff and students
- Manages all international programming in the college
- Leads the operations of the Center of Excellence and Venture College programs
- Supports the implementation and alignment with college policies and accreditation standards
- Maintains AACSB standards and vision within the college
- Serves as a mentor for COB untenured assistant professors and implements an annual workshop regarding tenure
- Assists with annual evaluations of faculty and staff
- Approves departmental and graduate course schedules
- Supports fiduciary responsibility within the college
- May serve on selected departmental college and university committees
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: A terminal degree in a relevant business field or closely related field of study from a university with an AACSB accredited business program
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Peer reviewed journal publications within the last 5 years sufficient to maintain AACSB SA status and supportive of a university with R2 research status
- Prior academic leadership experience
- Must be able to be qualified as graduate faculty
- Experience teaching both online and facetoface in fields offered in the College of Business
- Prior experience with developing policies and procedures
- Prior experience with AACSB report writing and managing AACSB team visits
PREFERRED EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Prior experience in and/or teaching entrepreneurship
- Prior international program implementation experience
- Prior experience with a center housed in a School or College of Business
- Degree in Accounting Finance Management Marketing or fields associated with Management Science
- Currently holds rank of Associate or Full Professor
