Job Description:
Under close supervision of the Lead and/or Production Manager the Manufacturing Technician D position is responsible for simple and repetitive job assignments with work ranging from simple to semicomplex in accordance with work order instructions Engineering Drawings and Manufacturing Process Specifications. Due to the varying production requirements at the time of hire this position may require soldering skills to Military specifications or ANSIJSTD001 in addition to mechanical/assembly skills or may require only mechanical/assembly skills.
Essential Functions:
- Perform simple to semicomplex cable assembly per shop order instructions and engineering drawing.
- Basic understanding of standard hardware installation sequence.
- Ability to read hardware descriptions on Engineering BOM and physically identify the characteristic of the hardware.
- Ability to communicate issues concerns and/or questions to his or her supervisors/managers and/or support groups (Manufacturing Engineering Planning Quality and Inspection).
- Complies with companys safety rules and regulations.
- Responsible for the accuracy of time charging on job performed.
- Responsible for keeping his or her work area clean and well organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Able to pass soldering test and be certified ANSIJSTD001 as required.
- Able to read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.
- Working with fiberglass.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years postSecondary/associates degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Minimum 25 years experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware as stated above preferably to military requirements and specifications.
- Minimum 25 years experience reading assembly blueprintsIPC/WHMAA620and hardware requirements.
- Must be able to pass soldering test and be certified ANSIJSTD001 and/or IPC610 as required
