Splish Splash Overnight Security Guard
Roles & Responsibilities:
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Schedule: 7 pm 7 am / 2 3 days / week (Schedule may change during the season)
Enforce all Park rules and regulations
Monitor Park assets with intent to ensure the safety of all our guests and employees
Maintain constant vigilance while the park is operating to identify any potential issues or safety concerns; communicate any potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely manner
Conduct bag checks to prevent prohibited items from entering the park
Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices policies and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
Monitor guest safety and communicate conflicts to supervisors on duty
Take control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calm
Professionally manage crowd control during emergency situations
Continuously monitor guest behaviors and attempt to curtail any potential situations before they escalate further
Exercise clear and concise communications with all park departments
Assist in safety prevention efforts including responding to all safety calls fire alarms and emergencies.
Utilized electronic card access closed circuit television and other audio/visual monitoring systems monitors and supervises the response to all reports or irregular conditions including the unauthorized entry of persons or vehicles to protected buildings and areas breaches of perimeter security or any other suspicious activities occurring on the property.
Authorize access to facilities and ensure that access is controlled.
Maintain and review security records; periodically report on trends anomalies and concerns
Other duties as assigned to support the park
Starting Pay Rate: $22/hr.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma GED or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
1 year of previous security or related experience highly desired
NYS Security Guard License is required
Crowd Management Training Certificate is preferred
Language:
Ability to read write and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to work third shift (overnight) if the park security operates on a 24hour schedule
Must possess a valid drivers license and a good driving record
NYS Security Guard License is Required
Ability to address multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment
Excellent customer service skills ability to resolve questions problems issues and concerns
Excellent interviewing listening and notetaking skills.
Ability to maintain certifications as required by assignment.
Ability to operate dispatch radio and/or other communication devices.
Ability to analyze people and/or situations quickly and calmly and take appropriate actions in a quick and effective manner.
Ability to professionally and calmly deal with stressful and/or tense situations.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to collaborate with external first responders and emergency personnel.
Ability to apply knowledge of security methods procedures and techniques to specific situations.
Ability to operate a variety of electronic equipment such as cameras radios and/or personal computers.
Ability to deal fairly objectively and courteously with the public without regard to race ethnicity religion or political beliefs.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
Ability to sit or stand for long period of time
Ability to walk long distances throughout the park
Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor setting for long periods of time
Ability to withstand heat humidity direct sun cold rain and other weather elements
Good visual acuity night vision and peripheral vision.
Ability to walk stand or run on uphill downhill or uneven surfaces.
Ability to kneel stoop or twist for long periods of time
Occasional bending squatting and reaching above shoulders
Ability to carry push pull lift and hold objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
Ability to tolerate loud noise levels flashing lights and heavily populated environments
Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away
Working Conditions:
Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures including high heat cold humidity dust rain and other weather conditions
Exposure to a variety of stressful emergency situations involving people or property
Frequent interaction with all outdoor and indoor areas of the park
Some sedentary motion while sitting and utilizing computer/camera equipment
Fastpaced environment with constantly shifting priorities and challenges
Subject to dark environments particularly during midnight shift
Subject to constant repetitive motion
Subject to frequent loud noises and flashing lights
