Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Doctor of Physical Therapy Doctor of Dental Medicine Master of Arts in Medical Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a fivestate region.
PNWU is located in Yakima WA a city of approximately 95000 located in the southcentral part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. The Executive Director of Marketing and Communication is a key leadership role responsible for driving the institutions brand overseeing strategic communication initiatives and managing a team of communication professionals. This position requires strong project management skills a proven track record of leading teams and the ability to create and implement a comprehensive digital strategy. The Executive Director of Marketing and Communication reports to the Vice President of University Relations.
Essential Job Functions:
Leads and manages a team of marketing and communication professionals.
Develops and executes strategic communication plans to align with the institutions mission and goals.
Oversees all aspects of brand management to ensure consistency across platforms.
Manages projects from inception to completion ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Designs and implements a comprehensive communication strategy including social media web content traditional and digital marketing.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive and clear messaging.
Monitors and analyzes communication efforts to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
