The Reemployment Assistance Division is seeking a motivated and detailoriented professional to serve as a Tax Program Representative. This role involves conducting investigations and enforcing compliance with state laws rules and regulations related to the Reemployment Assistance Program. Core responsibilities include:
  • Establishing new employer accounts.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of quarterly wage reports and state taxes.
  • Investigating discrepancies in wages and earnings including following up on tips or leads.
  • Communicating directly with employers to gather information and ensure compliance.
  • Participating in collection processes to recover payments due.

This is a FullTime 40 Hour Weekly position with the Department of Labor & Regulation. For more information on the Department of Labor & Regulation please visit .

The Ideal Candidate:

Will be selfmotivated capable of working independently and thrive in a fastpaced collaborative environment.

A bachelors degree is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of:
  • Principles and procedures of accounting
  • Business management practices
  • Collection techniques
  • Computer and software applications

Ability to:
  • Interpret and apply information laws and rule
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to include grammar spelling and punctuation
  • Communicate information clearly and concisely
  • Deal tactfully with others
  • Comfortably work with numbers and compare figures accurately
  • Analyze and interpret financial records
  • Apply critical thinking in complex situations
  • Formulate logical and reasonable conclusions from available information
  • Work independently
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Travel (minimally required)

This position is eligible for Veterans Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
