Job Description
Nexstar Media Inc. Americas largest local broadcasting company is seeking a Vice President and General Manager to lead its media properties in Albany (DMA 62) and Utica (DMA 171) in New York. The General Manager will have full oversight of Nexstars operations at WTEN (ABC) in Albany and WFXV (Fox) in Utica and will oversee its operational agreement with Mission Broadcasting providing services to WXXA (Fox) in Albany and WUTR (ABC)/WPNY (My Net) in Utica through an SSA as well as and all other digital mobile and social media assets for the stations.
WTEN serves New Yorks Capital Region including Albany Schenectady Troy and surrounding areas. The station is deeply rooted in the community engaging in initiatives like Pet Connection and Coats for Kids. The station has a legacy of reliable news coverage and communityfocused programming. News10abc the news brand across both the ABC and FOX affiliates produces 65 hours of weekly news in addition to their weekly statewide program Empire State Weekly. News10abc has risen to the mostwatched newscast in the Capital Region.

The successful candidate will have five years of broadcast leadership experience with a successful track record in leading sales driven organizations and developing revenue across multiple platforms as well as providing leadership by developing department heads and promoting teamwork within all station departments.
In addition a track record of success in maintaining a focus on the bottom line and a broad range of programming experience with an emphasis on localism is essential.
