Job Description

The Distribution Procurement Analystis responsible for managing the procurement of materials supplies and services to support distribution operations. This role includes conducting market research evaluating bids negotiating prices and terms and ensuring that purchases are made under the most favorable conditions for the Government. The Analyst willmonitor vendor performance track purchases andmaintain an updated vendor database to ensure quality and compliance with contract requirements. The position requires strong analytical negotiation and communication skills to support efficient and costeffective procurement processes.

Distribution Procurement AnalystResponsibilities Include:
- Conduct thorough market research and ensure the purchase of materials supplies and services under the most favorable terms for the Governmentin accordance with Section H1 Competition in Supplies of the basic contract.
- Qualify vendors evaluate bids and negotiate pricing terms and conditions forpurchased goods and services.
- Track andmaintain records of all purchases ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor vendor performance ensuring quality standards are met and resolving any issues related to product or service delivery.
- Maintain an uptodate vendor database including contact information performance history and contract details.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with distribution needs and project timelines.
- Performs other jobrelated duties as assigned
Distribution Procurement AnalystExperienceEducationSkills Abilitiesrequested:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience (minimum of 4 years in procurement or supply chain management).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurementpurchasing or supply chain management preferably within a distribution orlogistics environment.
- Proven ability to conduct market research and analyze vendor proposals to ensure costeffective and highquality purchasing decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and prices for goods and services.
- Familiarity with vendor qualification processes and the ability to evaluate vendor capabilities and performance.
- Proficient in procurement software Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook) and familiarity with procurement and supply chain management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant contracting and procurement regulations including competition requirements under federal contracts (e.g. Section H1 Competition in Supplies).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to track purchasesmaintainaccurate records and ensure compliance with contract terms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor relations and internal collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment while meeting deadlines.
