We are currently seeking a motivated and mechanically skilled Rail Service Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team in Kansas City Kansas where your handson expertise and adaptability will make a real impact.
As a Rail Service Specialist youll be responsible for both onsite work and extensive travel across the U.S. Mexico and Canada. In this role you will unload rail from trains and perform essential rail service tasks. We will also teach you how to weld and youll earn a company welding certification. This is a handson position where your basic mechanical aptitude will be crucial as you tackle various railrelated projects. Adaptability is key as youll be working in a fastpaced environment often in varying weather conditions. Whether youre onsite or on the road your role will be physically demandingrequiring the ability to stand walk jump and climb stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 50 pounds.
Travel is a core aspect of this job with half of your time spent onsite and the other half traveling to different locations across the U.S. and occasionally to Mexico and Canada. Candidates must be able to meet travel requirements and possess the flexibility to work in different settings.
