Job Description

Director CRM Strategy

Location: Boston Atlanta or NYC

Hybrid: 3 days inoffice per week


Were hiring! We have an exciting opportunity to join the Iris team in North America as Director CRM Strategy. Data Driven Performance (DDP) is a core part of offering with pureplay data driven clients (where we are supporting CRM loyalty and Performance Marketing) and integrated clients where we work as part of our integrated proposition to also support audience intelligence and marketing effectiveness.

The role requires focus on maximizing growth within key existing clients and supporting presales and pitch opportunities with new clients.

You will need to be strategically minded commercial and have a deep understanding of the world of data driven marketing to best create and deliver services that elevate the clients omnichannel customer experience marketing outcomes and their ability to monetize every element of their data assets.

What were looking for:
The successful candidate will be experienced exceptionally motivated and dependable. Due to the exciting variation in the role the individual will be confident and skilled at dealing with multiple initiatives thriving on multitasking and taking ownership of growing DDP income in the US from $6MM revenue in 2025.

The role will work closely with the specialists processes and commercial objectives to deliver aggressive DDP growth. The emphasis is account and commercial leadership role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Senior level relationships with clients.
  • Become the client business partner and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the client business and opportunities.
  • Responsible for overall account performance profitability and growth.
  • Build and maintain positive and enduring client relationships across all levels.
  • Successful development and implementation of a progressive CRM lifecycle journey enhancing customer engagement through personalization and audiencefirst CRM
  • Spearhead the transformation of legacy CRM practice into a datadriven goaloriented and scalable system effectively aligning CRM initiatives with the overarching digital transformation workstream
  • Lead the test & learn strategy execution and measurement to enhance customer engagement and retention; CRM focus is a plus
  • Play a pivotal role in connecting performance marketing strategy with brand strategy to ensure an integrated approach in the development of go to market strategy
  • Partner with Analytics team to develop a holistic measurement framework across paid earned and owned
  • Create and sell in the playbook of endtoend CRM personalization framework
  • Lead the thought leadership development of 1st and 3rd party data strategy audience segmentation and lifecyclebased communication best practices
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews with senior client stakeholders across data CRM and performance marketing groups
  • Partner with Data and Technology team to evaluate clients existing data and tech gaps constructing digital maturity roadmap to maximize clients existing infrastructure investment
  • Capable of synthesizing consumer data and competitive insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Strong command of CRM best practices in campaign implementation (email sms push in app)
  • See the whole picture of data driven opportunity project scope and care about successful delivery (on time on budget on scope).
  • Ability to travel and nurture clients at different locations including Boston Atlanta NYC

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 7 years leading business development and growing enterprise clients.
  • Proven record of growing accounts.
  • Experience of working in crossagency teams within a marketing services group (desirable).
  • Experience leading cross functional teams (data tech etc).
  • Proficiency of understanding clients perceived needs and keen ability to qualify these needs to create an actionable roadmap and growth plan. You will see open briefs as an opportunity rather than a constraint.
  • Consultative selling experience.
  • Skilled at creating executive presentations with credible story telling capabilities.
  • Understanding the possibilities and limitations in 1st/2nd/3rd party data and marketing technologies (i.e. experience platform CRM asset management journey management cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to analyze and assess business performance customer journeys and experiences to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Excellent understanding of data strategy analytics data science and data platform business with associated commercial and consulting expertise.
  • Ability to develop best in class data services and CRM solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset energy and skills.
  • Willingness not to be afraid to fail learn and try again.
