Job Description:

The Department of Psychology at the University of Florida is seeking applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in psychology to begin August 16 2025. This is a fulltime ninemonth nontenure track position. The position is renewable contingent on funding for a maximum of two years. The Department of Psychology is dedicated to promoting student engagement within and outside the classroom.

Preference will be given to a candidate who is able to teach courses in foundational courses including Developmental Psychology General Psychology and Research Methods with the possibility of an upperlevel special topics course as needed. In addition applicants are expected to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse undergraduate student population as our courses are not limited to psychology majors but include students from all majors at UF. Expected Salary:

Preferred:
  • Able to teach the foundational undergraduate course in Developmental Psychology
  • Able to teach the state common core general education course in General Psychology
  • Able to teach foundational courses in Psychology as needed (e.g. Research Methods etc.)
  • Commitment to mentorship of undergraduate students and teaching excellence
