Groundskeeper

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Groundskeeper is responsible for performing all tasks related to maintaining the casino grounds roads and parking lots. This includes but is not limited to trash collection from the casino grounds/parking lots seasonal landscaping and snow removal. In addition the position is required assist Event Services with the set up/breakdown of room arrangements assembly of furniture/staging and relocation of equipment. This position is designated as Essential Personnel. The incumbent is required to assist in meeting the operational needs of the Casino during emergencies and casino closures as well as ensure continuity of strategic services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain the casino in a neat and orderly manner by collecting trash on the grounds and in parking lots emptying trash containers; removing leaves and debris from all steps and sidewalks.
• Maintain all grounds equipment by performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Operate forklifts frontend loaders tractors bucket truck and other grounds equipment as necessary to perform assigned duties.
• Follow established safety policies and procedure including the use of all personal protective equipment necessary to perform duties safely.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager and Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of commercial experience or demonstrated basic knowledge in the operation and maintenance of commercial groundskeeping equipment.
• Ability to work safely and reliably with minimum of supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to work under the following conditions and meet the following physical requirements:
• Ability to push pull lift and carry up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8 hour shift.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather condition such as heat cold rain snow and slippery conditions.
• Ability to work on uneven surfaces.
• Ability to utilize lifts ladders and/or scaffolding to work at elevated heights.
• Possess a valid drivers license and good driving record as determined by casino policy.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $23.60 per hour
