The following vacancy exists in Goshen Community Schools for the202526school year:
Goshen High School
Engineering Teacher(CTE Secondary Level)
Position Overview:
Goshen High School is seeking a dynamic and innovative Engineering Teacher to lead our high school engineering pathway within the Indiana Career and Technical Education (CTE) Engineering & Technology Education career cluster. The ideal candidate will inspire students through handson projectbased learning and prepare them for postsecondary education and careers in engineering technology and advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction aligned to Indiana CTE standards for:
Introduction to Engineering Design
Principles of Engineering
Civil Engineering & Architecture
Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)
Or other applicable engineering courses
Develop and maintain an engaging industryrelevant curriculum that integrates:
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) standards (preferred)
Realworld engineering practices and tools
STEM career exploration
Manage a safe and inclusive lab environment including use of 3D printers CNC equipment and computeraided design (CAD) software
Collaborate with colleagues to align instruction across CTE math and science departments
Foster partnerships with local industry and higher education to support workbased learning internships and credential attainment
Participate in CTE advisory board meetings and support program recruitment efforts
Prepare students for industryrecognized certifications or dual credit opportunities where applicable
Maintain accurate records of student progress and meet all state reporting requirements for CTE
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Indiana secondary teaching license or the ability to obtain a CTE license in Engineering and Technology (CTE: I.C.)
Bachelors degree in Engineering Engineering Technology Industrial Technology or related field
OR
At least 6000 hours of documented occupational experience in an engineeringrelated fieldStrong communication and classroom management skills
Passion for helping students connect academic content with future career opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
PLTW certification or willingness to complete training
Experience with SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Familiarity with CNC machines robotics or 3D printing
Knowledge of dual credit processes career credentials or SkillsUSA
