Job Title: Conformance Technician

Shift : Day Shift 12hr

Location: Kansas City MO

Mar Petcare is looking for a Conformance Technician to join our exciting Nutro business at one of our manufacturing plants located in Kansas City Mo.

The Conformance Technician is responsible and accountable for supporting The Nutro Companys Nutros Quality and Food Safety principles through: Monitoring and inspecting process and packaging processes according to Q&FS policies and procedures and QMP/internal quality standards. Manage the testing requirements for the positive release programs. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. This role reports to the Shift Manger and is a member of the production team.

Principle Accountabilities:

Adhere to personal safety practices that meet OSHA & Mars standards to assure a safe environment for associate and others. Maintain open communication with site safety committee and site safety manager as appropriate for the role.

Complete analytical testing and evaluation of finished product as required to by Q&FS policies and procedures.

Monitoring and inspecting processes according to Q&FS policies and procedures and QMP/internal quality standards. This includes but are not limited to:

o Processing o Packaging

o Sanitation and Microbial Control

o Quality of Testing Protocols o Record Control

o Positive Release Programs

Maintain continuous communication with site functional teams to assure complete awareness of the manufacturing process in compliance with Q&FS and performance objectives.

Participate in the development revision and training of mission critical competencies as related to the responsibilities and accountabilities of the position as well as participate in corrective & preventative action/continuous improvement projects

Demonstrate a quality culture in actions words and spirit.

Knowledge of local federal and industry regulations with regards to:

o Food Safety (GMP HACCP)

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently without supervision as well as within a team setting.

Effective analytical troubleshooting and computer skills.

Preferred

One year pet food and/or food manufacturing experience. Physical Requirements

Sufficient mobility strength flexibility hearing and sight to access all job relevant areas and perform routine activities as necessary to deliver required results.

Some pushing/pulling bending/stooping and lifting (up to 40 lbs.) necessary.
