We are looking for a dedicated Infection Contral & Employee Health LVN like you to join our Lubbock Heart team.
What You Will do in this Role:
Knowledge Skills Abilities
Knowledge of nursing procedures and techniques and of the principles and processes used in providing appropriate patient care.
Knowledge of principles of biological physical and social science as acquired in vocational nursing school.
Knowledge of medication transcription and administration.
Skill in using reasoning to identify problems in considering appropriate resolution of situations.
Skill in the use of a desktop or laptop computer and the following office software applications: Microsoft Office Products Outlook Excel including wordprocessing accounting presentation software and Electronic Health Record.
Ability to provide patient medical care to provide educational and safety training; to prepare and maintain records.
Ability to communicate effectively and to supervise the work of others. Successful in building good working relationships with others.
Ability to learn other computer software applications.
Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations in practical situations; ability to analyze data and process it into usable information.
Ability to exercise sound professional judgment and tact always.
Professional Requirements

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac orthopedic nephrology urology and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic orthopedic urology and general surgery. We have a 24hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms 4 fully operating OR rooms 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room 11day surgery rooms 58 acute care beds spread over three units and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families physicians and our employees.
