About the Role
The Sr. Infrastructure Engineer helps design and maintain reliable systems at scale in the cloud. Our infrastructure runs on AWS and other cloud platforms. We currently utilize RDS EC2 DynamoDB Lambda and AWS IoT to name a few. Prior experience in AWS and with Terraform is required and a focus on scripting and automation is preferred. Our applications are containerized and run in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). We use Jenkins for Continuous Integration (CI) and ArgoCD for Continuous Deployment (CD).
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide highly available scalable and secure cloud infrastructure
- Build foundational infrastructure for other teams to deploy and run their applications
- Look for ways to reduce toil through scripting and automation
- Solve technical problems of high scope and complexity
- Mentor and level up other Engineers
- Identify challenges and propose well thought out solutions
- Provide innovative solutions to complex problems
- Define and improve our standards for maintainability and best practices
- Contribute to architectural infrastructure decisions
- Participate in 24/7 on-call shift schedule for infrastructure support
Education and Experience
- 5 years operational knowledge of AWS infrastructure (Azure GCP nice to have)
- 5 years proven scripting abilities (e.g. bash Python Golang)
- Strong desire to automate and create standard frameworks
- 5 years Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Terragrunt Atlantis)
- 3 years of Kubernetes and containerization best practices (EKS)
- 2 years of experience with monitoring and observability of applications (Prometheus Grafana Alertmanager Datadog)
- Proficiency in the English language both written and verbal
- Emphasis on documentation and knowledge sharing
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related field

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set work experience relevant trainings and certifications business needs market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus equity and benefits.
