QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fortyeight credit hours postsecondary or Para Certification.
- Job Coaching Certification through local organizations is a plus.
- Must have a valid Iowa Drivers License and a driving record satisfactory to the District and the Districts insurance carrier.
- Able to support and collaborate well with others with a variety of abilities.
- Initiative to be a selfstarter flexible and solutionfocused.
- Experience in working with individuals with disabilities is recommended.
- Able to navigate active communication and positive relationships with others including effective oral presentation of information as well as being responsive to high levels of data and verbal information
- Will represent the S.E. department as one of the outward information sources and will do so with high levels of professional and ethical integrity
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to problem solve effectively and work both independently and collaboratively as the demand of the tasks requires.

JOB GOAL(S):
The Job Coach is responsible for providing skills training and supports to High School Transition students participating in onsite and community work experiences and job explorations. The Job Coach will be responsible for jobsite monitoring and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) developed to meet the living learning and working needs of student participants. This position is designed to assist students with disabilities in developing the skills needed to be successful in their employment academic and independent living objectives.
Other activities will include such things as working collaboratively with student IEP roster teachers WE Coordinators IVRS Counselors and parents/guardians to implement student employment plans supporting students through professional job searches and attainment of competitive employment provide on the job interventions and support instructional coaching positive reinforcement and developing natural support systems.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish rapport and relationships with students to guide them in gathering information to help develop a personalized transition plan and portfolio.
- Regularly assesses and implements the fading of tiered supports.
- Ability to interact professionally with all individuals especially those with disabilities.
- Participate in Job Coaching professional development and training.
- Creating/implementing the job task analysis after work sites have been identified.
- Transport and travel to job sites; solely responsible for the supervision and safety of students in community locations.
- Support in the transportation of students requiring specialized busing to job sites. Training provided upon hire.
- Assist in the implementation of students Individual Education Plans and support in the preparation and organization of instructional materials and equipment.
- Maintained as requested student documentation Medicaid logs and progress monitoring.
- When needed implement the students individual behavior plan.
- Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
- Maintain the confidentiality of student and district information
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements

- Lifting carrying pushing and pulling up to 40 pounds on occasion
- Requires some stooping and kneeling
- Must be able to transition from different locations for 78 hours per day
Working Conditions
High School Community transitions and a variety of business atmospheres with changing noise levels
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
260 contract days
Fulltime Year Round. Hours and calendar year to be established by the Board of Education. Requires the commitment to professional working hours that may require the employee to extend beyond a typical 8:00 4:00 workday.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Districts policy on Evaluation State Statute and any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
