Senior Principal Project Engineer (Onsite)

This position is for a highly motivated project engineer whose charter is to design develop test and deploy mission critical weapon systems for the United States Navy and Air Force. This position is to lead a team focused on developing engineering solutions for defense and military Command and Control (C2) and Command Control and Communications (C3) systems in order to enable advanced capabilities of modern day and future weapons systems.

What You Will Do

• Conduct project leadership over the entire development life cycle including bids project management design requirements capture coding integration verification and certification
• Provide technical leadership and accountability for team and project performance
• Demonstrate a passion for coaching and mentoring
• Possess engineering skills critical and innovative thinking strategic planning and an ability to build and motivate a team
• Identify recruit retain and develop engineering talent across the spectrum of entrylevel to highly experienced engineers
• Build and leverage networks within the department and within Collins Aerospace
• Communicate well with a wide variety of individuals including Engineering Program Management internal leadership and customers
• Leverage advanced principles theories and concepts of complex technical subjects to provide direction for direct reports
• Ensure compliance to development processes and standard work requirements
• Strive to spend time performing technical tasks and oversight while also spending time onpeople management schedules and/or budgets

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a issued security clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizensare eligible for a security clearance

• Direct experience in the development of bid and proposal efforts
• Experience/knowledge of communications systems
