Role Overview:
A global leader in largescale industrial manufacturing is seeking a Senior Mechanical Utility Engineer to join its stateoftheart facility in Little Rock AR. This role offers the chance to lead complex utility projects in a highimpact environment supporting the energy and heavy manufacturing sectors.
This is a key engineering role for an individual with deep technical knowledge proven leadership and a handson approach to problem solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design select install and optimise mechanical and utility systems across production operations
- Lead installation and commissioning of heavy equipment and industrial utility systems
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Manage utilityrelated capital projects from concept to completion
- Conduct technical risk assessments and lead troubleshooting of complex systems
- Ensure systems are energy efficient costeffective and compliant with engineering standards
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians
- Ensure documentation is up to date including engineering drawings and SOPs
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with production safety and facilities teams
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures
- Promote and enforce a safetyfirst culture aligned with OSHA standards
MUSTHAVE Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
- 7 years of experience in mechanical/utility engineering within industrial manufacturing
- Experience with installation commissioning and optimisation of heavy industrial equipment
- Strong knowledge of compressors cooling towers pneumatic systems and water management
- Knowledge of engineering codes and standards (ASME API etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience leading utilityrelated capital projects
- Ability to read and develop technical drawings specifications and documentation
- Understanding of OSHA standards and commitment to industrial safety
- US Citizenship or Green Card Holder status
NiceToHave Skills:
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Experience with utility system modelling or simulation tools
- Prior mentoring or leadership of junior engineers or technical teams
- Exposure to energy efficiency or sustainability improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with SCADA systems or CMMS (e.g. SAP PM Maximo)
- Experience developing longterm infrastructure plans for utility systems
- Willingness to relocate (relocation reimbursement available)
