Under general direction defines learning and organization development objectives that support articulated business outcomes. Designs develops and delivers learning and organization development solutions. Analyzes learning and organization development solutions for continuous improvement. Undertakes appropriate operational and administrative aspects of program management.

Work Model: Hybrid

Major Duties:

• Works with management performance consultants and/or subject matter experts to understand desired business outcomes and translate them into learning and organization development objectives.
• Works with stakeholders to determine appropriate learning methodologies and organization development solutions.
• Develops project plans including the identification of subject matter experts where appropriate.
• Develops and facilitates/delivers learning and organization development programs.
• Identifies appropriate external vendors and evaluates the applicability of their offerings.
• Manages ongoing vendor relationships.
• Maintains an inventory of training and organization development programs/tools and schedules their use according to management priorities.
• Evaluates training and organization development programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements.
• More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas.
• Delivers a work product that requires less revision.
• Serves as a key subject matter expert in program design and may mentor more junior staff.
• Handles all types of analysis and handle more complex work
• Represents the department in various meetings.
• Works on projects and learning project management skills.

Knowledge:

• Experience using ADDIE instructional design methodology
• Experience with Captivate Articulate or Easy Generator or similar
• Strong instructional design and/or organization development skills.
• Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions.
• Requires good analytical ability and strong judgment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of a wide range of tools and delivery techniques or is an expert within a specific content area or delivery methodology.

Experience: A minimum of 5 6 years of directly related experience. Experience supporting Fund Administration Transfer Agency or the banking industry preferred.

Salary Range:

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and wellbeing benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
