Job Description
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets trays racks and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles or trailers and installs strapping bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit using hand tools required at times.
- Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area using forklift handtruck electric dolly wheelbarrow or other device.
- Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination using handoperated crane or hoist or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination
- Counts weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases bales or other containers. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together using banding machine and clincher.
- May occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Must hold forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Pick up or delivery material as needed to offsite locations Vendors or Suppliers.
- Must had valid drivers license.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with persons inside and outside the Company. Must be able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities. Must be able to work under stress and meet deadlines. Must be able to maintain and process jobrelated paperwork effectively. Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to walk long distances. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be able to sit for average amounts of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to climb into machinery. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate office equipment. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties. Must be able to work overtime as required.
