Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing and directing Inside/Counter Sales and Warehouse/Will Call operations. Responsible for overseeing daily counter sales functions driving revenue growth mentoring the Inside/Counter Sales team and ensuring exceptional customer experience. Additionally responsible for overseeing receiving inventory control material handling order fulfillment delivery operations and dispatching and will call while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

$49400$55120 annually.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

INSIDE/COUNTER SALES:

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead coach and mentor inside and counter sales staff.
  • Provide ongoing training on HVAC products customer service techniques and sales processes.
  • Set performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive accountable and customercentric culture at the counter.

Sales Management

  • Monitor and manage daily counter and inside sales activities to maximize profitability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to support key accounts and ensure seamless service delivery.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Ensure the team delivers exceptional service including accurate order entry technical support and problem resolution.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and complex orders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors technicians and HVAC professionals.

Operational Oversight

  • Manage inventory levels in collaboration with purchasing and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies including operating system security inventory control and loss prevention ethics safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to navigate and problem solve issues within the ERP system.

WAREHOUSE/WILL CALL:

Warehouse Management

  • Oversee all daily warehouse activities at the branch including:
    • Receiving: Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; coordinate timely put away.
    • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory counts support regular cycle counts and minimize discrepancies.
    • Material Handling: Ensure safe and efficient movement of products throughout the warehouse using proper equipment.
    • Order Fulfillment: Ensure orders are picked packed and staged for delivery or will call with accuracy and speed.
    • Shipping and Delivery: Coordinate local deliveries and manage branch drivers to meet customer schedules and expectations.
    • Will Call Counter: Supervise pickups ensure fast friendly and accurate service.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise a team of warehouse associates delivery drivers and will call staff.
  • Hire train and coach team members on safety processes and product knowledge.
  • Monitor individual and team performance and provide regular feedback and support.
  • Coach and train employees on common problems associated with warehouse equipment operating processes and all company policies.

Safety and Facility Standards

  • Enforce all company safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to ensure a clean organized and hazardfree workplace.
  • Oversees proper care of the Loading Equipment (Forklifts Wavepickers Palletjacks etc.).
  • Maintain and inspect warehouse equipment facility and fleet; coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Uphold high standards for product handling and warehouse cleanliness.

Customer Focused Operations:

  • Work closely with counter sales inside sales and branch management to support customer needs and order accuracy.
  • Ensure a smooth and professional experience for customers picking up will call orders.
  • Resolve customer or logistics issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting issues and following up with customers to ensure the correct merchandise is delivered on time and to the correct location.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Five years operations management experience within a wholesale organization; experience within the HVAC products and services industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) Software; Infor M3 knowledge desired.
  • Experience using an RF Terminal in a warehouse environment required.
  • Exhibits ability to consider all aspects of selling including vendor relationships profit and loss concepts and overall profitability goals of the branch.
  • Strong leadership problem solving and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Qualified applicants must be customeroriented and motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of PC environment and MS Office programs including Excel Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
  • Organization and time management skills detail oriented able to prioritize in multitasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • A thorough knowledge of warehousing principles practices and procedures is required.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer needs.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations required to accurately complete assigned tasks.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in oral or written form. Ability to use sound judgment and problemsolving skills.

Attendance is required Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. or within normal business hours as established by the supervisor. Employee may be required to work overtime and occasional Saturdays and Sundays.
