Key Responsibilities
As a Certified Athletic Trainer youll play an essential role in supporting local athletesfrom high school teams to semipro leagues. Responsibilities include:
Delivering onsite care including first aid injury evaluation emergency management and rehabilitation.
Covering practices games and travel events including nights and weekends as needed.
Coordinating care and followups with physicians and healthcare teams.
Developing and executing individualized treatment and strength conditioning programs.
Communicating with athletes coaches parents and physicians regarding health status and returntoplay.
Documenting injuries maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with confidentiality and healthcare standards.
Participating in pre/postparticipation physicals onboarding for new contracts and community outreach programs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in a healthrelated field (minimum requirement).
Certification: Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC).
Licensure: Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer in New York State.
CPR Certification: Required within 90 days of hire.
Experience: 12 years in a sports environment preferred; new grads encouraged to apply!
