Description

CCAP Mission Statement To empower all people and communities challenged by poverty as well as social and cultural barriers through advocacy education and access to high quality health and human services.


JOB SUMMARY:

Provide ongoing technical and accounting support to the Fiscal Department and the CFO.


WORK SCHEDULE DEMANDS:

This is a fulltime 3035 hours per week in office position.

May be required to work at any CCAP location.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist CFO with annual fiscal year end audit and all other audits performed by outside agencies.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports to funding sources and Board of Directors.
  • Assists CFO in grant budgeting and preparation of agencywide budget.
  • Maintain files of all reports and backup material for audit and administrative review.
  • Assist with major purchases and quotes based on CCAPs procurement procedures.
  • Maintains detailed records of all quotes and budget requirements for projects.
  • Maintains fixed assets records.
  • Records Month end entries and all health center revenues receivables and bad debt.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CFO.

Specific Accounting Functions

  • Utilize computer for recording all journal transactions
  • Learns program billing procedures
  • Assists when necessary records Payroll costs Health costs London health Accrued payroll Accounts Receivable in G/L
  • Completes special projects as needed
  • Assist Staff Accountant and Accounts Payable as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Departmental / Main Office Functions

  • Ensures all deadlines are met in processing all assigned accounting duties.
  • Ensures accuracy of records
  • Communicates well with supervisor and Office Manager regarding workflow prioritizing of time and related suggestions and/or problems.
  • Participates in Financial Department meetings.
  • Works cooperatively with the entire staff
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AA Finance/Accounting or related experience
  • Knowledge of nonprofit accounting particularly audit purchasing FQHC experience a plus.
  • Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations
  • Complete all required background checks

SKILLS:

Must have excellent writing and oral communication skills.

Knowledge of computer spreadsheets

Knowledge of office machinery such as personal computers calculators

Organizational skills: ability to prioritize selfstarter.

Knowledge of technical accounting functions; payroll accounting systems Knowledge of human service network

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The environment is a clinical business office environment. Transportation is necessary at times.
