The Opportunity:
The University of Central Florida is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving in support of Academic Health Sciences. This pivotal role contributes significantly to the growth of midlevel giving primarily focusing on our esteemed alumni community. As part of the Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement team the Assistant Director plays a critical role in bridging engagement efforts with philanthropy driving the identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of prospective donors to nurture a pipeline of future major gift contributors.
Responsibilities:
Cultivating soliciting and stewarding leadership level annual gifts.
Conducting facetoface visits with leadership annual giving donors and prospects.
Managing and retaining a portfolio of donors by cultivating relationships through consistent outreach and personal visits to build affinity and grow their philanthropy to the university.
Identifying new prospects through strategic discovery processes to increase the number of alumni that contribute to the university at a leadership level.
Collaborating with assigned colleges to develop and execute on annual and longterm strategic goals that connect alumni and build their affinity to solicit philanthropic contributions.
Developing meaningful touch points for cultivation and stewardship through collaboration with Alumni Engagement by recruiting and enlisting volunteer leaders to assist in engagement activities.
Attend and conduct meetings on and off campus and make presentations before large and small groups.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful fundraising experience.
Expertise in relationship building with new donors while maintaining ongoing relationships.
Experience working in a complex University environment.
Experience working with various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Raisers Edge NXT Blackbaud Salesforce etc.)

Excellent analytical organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfortable operating in a matrixed environment.
Ability to effectively communicate handle multiple priorities and handle the pressure of deadlines.
Ability to travel attend and conduct meetings on and off campus and make presentations before large and small groups.
The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve goals with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

The final determination of a successful candidates starting salary will vary based on several factors including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
