Description
Elenas Way a Preble Street Wellness Shelter provides shelter and intensive services to 40 individuals experiencing homelessness and complex physical and mental health needs in a 24hour traumainformed environment grounded in social work and medical best practices.
A first shift Supervisor position is currently available in this serviceinclusive clientcentered shelter program. As a member of the collaborative management team the Supervisors responsibilities include supervising the 1st shift direct service team overseeing casework and supportive services leading program activities providing program coverage and direct services to clients and tenants and performing administrative and management tasks in support of the program.
The schedule for this position is Sunday Thursday 8am4:30pm
Qualifications
Qualifications include a bachelors degree with 3 to 5 years relevant related experience leading a team or a
comparable combination of education training and work experience. Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and mental health and substance use disorders are also required qualifications.
Additional requirements include the ability to lead supervise and direct the work of direct service staff; strong communication deescalation and crisis intervention skills; ability to work with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; understanding of and alignment with Preble Streets mission; and commitment to providing lowbarrier highquality services with a traumainformed harmreduction approach.
Compensation and Benefit
The hourly rate of pay for this fulltime (40 hours/week) position is $28.72 per hour.
