Job Description
The York School Department is seeking a reliable and detailoriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe sanitary and pleasant environment for our employees and visitors. This is a vital role that contributes directly to the positive image and smooth operation of our :Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping mopping vacuuming dusting and wiping surfaces in offices hallways restrooms and other designated trash and recycling bins and ensure proper and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies (soap paper towels toilet paper).Clean windows glass partitions and floors through waxing buffing and other appropriate up and break down meeting rooms or event spaces as minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting maintenance needs to the appropriate that cleaning supplies are properly stored and established safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals with snow removal or other outdoor maintenance tasks as other related duties as assigned.
