What Youll Do
- Supports the UPF Technical Procedures Manager by managing and coordinating the technical and administrative procedure processes and tasks in assigned area in accordance with Y15232 Technical Procedure Process and Y15030GUD Technical Procedure Writers Guide.
- Ensures daytoday activities and procedure support meet customer needs and expectations within assigned area to meet surge needs when schedules deadlines and plant mission may be at risk.
- Provides technical leadership and work direction in the Verification and Validation (V&V) of technical procedures against applicable requirements and structures systems and components to ensure procedures are technically accurate and are formatted correctly.
- Supports maintenance of procedure database compiling procedure data for the development of monthly metrics coordinating procedure process assessments to verify compliance and identifying analyzing and developing procedure process improvements.
- Walks down equipment with engineers and endusers of procedures to research and develop new procedures modify existing procedures and validate the operational adequacy of procedures for applicable Production facilities.
- Ensures procedures are written to a level of detail consistent with the qualifications and training of the expected users.
- Participates in procedure improvement activities (e.g. cycle time reduction; metrics improvement).
- Collaborates with Engineering (e.g. Criticality Safety Engineers Facility Safety Engineers and Safety Basis Analysis Engineers) to ensure flow down requirements are current and accurate.
- Serves as a point of contact in assigned area to ensure procedure support meets customer needs and expectations.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Associate degree in related discipline: No experience.
- High school diploma: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in a communications education journalism or science discipline with 2 years of experience in a National Security Complex commercial nuclear industry in the nuclear navy or in chemical manufacturing is also of value.
- Experience in writing technical operational procedures maintenance procedures process procedures or fire protection/emergency management procedures is preferred.
