Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to serve as a Broadcasting Teacher & Cinema/Media Production Assistant. This position is responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of broadcasting video production and digital media while also supporting school and district media efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video a strong understanding of media technology and a desire to mentor students as they develop skills in editing production live broadcasting and digital content creation. In addition to classroom instruction this role includes assisting with live event coverage managing media equipment and supporting districtwide media projects.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Update and manage digital content for the district marquee.
- Assist in preparing game day graphics thumbnails and highlight media.
- Assist with content creation during Media Days.
- Support social media content scheduling and management across RBN and PRSN.
- Assist in setting up and operate A/V equipment for live events.
- Help maintain and organize local content storage (photos video graphics).
- Assist in performing routine video editing and highlight creation for school events.
- Provide basic tech support and equipment setup before broadcasts.
- Maintain inventory of A/V equipment and help manage setup/teardown logistics.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Director of Broadcasting.
Lenghth of contract is 190 days. Salary is based on licensed salary schedule on district website.
Background check and child maltreatment check required by law.
Requirements: Valid Arkansas teaching license in secondary education and EAST training.
Citizenship residency or work VISA in United States.
