Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for assisting certified teachers in providing quality academic and enrichment activities in the True Blue Neighbors Youth Scholars program ( TBNYS ). Essential Responsibilities: Assist with classroom instruction and supervision of students. Assist with program attendance. Support a safe equitable learning environment for students of all racial cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Supervise outside inside and outside extracurricular activities. Implement ageappropriate activities that support the academic development of students and meet the goals of the TBNYS program. Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment. Check classroom/program equipment to ensure they are in good condition. Attend all required professional development and training opportunities. Attend family engagement events and activities. Maintain a positive attitude and work with others as a member of a team.
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to walk stand and sit during program and training sessions. Light occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
Required Qualifications
Experience working with children Computer literacy skills High School diploma or GED Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous K12 program experience Bilingual in English/Spanish
