Job Description
Want to help scale Amazons global fulfillment workforce supporting them with efficient engaging and empowering user experiences while keeping them safe and happy Join the Amazon Fulfillment Technologies Experience Design team (AFTXD). We are seeking a Senior UX Designer who is passionate about the intersection of physical and virtual worlds including AIpowered systems and agentbased workflows reaching beyond what is shown on a screen to include the physical environment building layout equipment work processes anything and everything that impacts how work inside our fulfillment centers gets done.
The ideal candidate will be a problemsolver selflearner and selfstarter with 5 years of UX experience and demonstrated expertise in designing AI interfaces. You should look around corners to identify user problems and needs proactively initiate the design process deliver usercentric design and influence stakeholders to positively impact experiences within Amazons global fulfillment network. You will create scalable solutions utilizing multiple tools and techniques including industrystandard design platforms and AIdriven prototyping tools. As a Senior UX Designer you will work alongside a crossfunctional team of designers product managers and engineers to invent solutions that improve the safety productivity and engagement of 1M Amazon associates who work in Amazons fulfillment network worldwide. You will own and drive the user experience from a global perspective participate in research studies and deliver simple elegant and highly functional designs incorporating emerging technologies. You will help build relationships across teams and countries promote collaboration and efficiency and raise the user experience bar to improve the lives of our fulfillment center team members and ultimately deliver smiles to Amazon customers.

Key job responsibilities
Lead planning of innovative features and products analyzing user behaviors and AI interaction patterns to identify opportunities in agentbased workflows
Create highquality design solutions for user interfaces including LLM interaction flows and conversational UIs
Execute user research focused on interaction patterns to inform and validate designs
Present implementation strategies to stakeholders across product engineering and executive teams
Champion design thinking and humancentered AI development across the organization
Mentor peers on emerging AI technologies and best practices
Define best practices for crosstool implementations including agent handoff protocols multimodal interaction patterns and crosssystem contextual awareness.
Create documentation and governance frameworks for consistent AI behavior
Incorporate user feedback and interaction metrics into design iterations
Be resourceful and creative in overcoming obstacles and turning challenges into opportunities.
Ensure voice of the customer is present by incorporating customer feedback usage metrics and usability findings into design and performing metrics analysis postlaunch to inform ongoing product improvements and optimization efforts.

Experience Design
AFTs Experience Design team shapes and simplifies the fulfillment center experience by delivering inclusive solutions that work for everyone from the screen interface to the larger ecosystem in which our products are used.
6 years of design experience
Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
Experience with handson visual design
Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
Have an online portfolio demonstrating experience with complex AI interfaces and agentbased systems. This includes experience designing LLMpowered interfaces and prompt engineering
Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
Experience acquiring user data (e.g. conducting usability studies performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
Experience designing in an agile development environment

The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market.
