Job Schedule: 9/80;Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our IT team. As a Network Engineer you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include configuring network equipment monitoring performance troubleshooting issues and ensuring network security.
Essential Functions:
- Design deploy and manage scalable secure and highperforming network solutions using Cisco and Arista equipment.
- Set up and maintain routers switches firewalls and other network devices.
- Maintain equipment inventory IP schemas and network diagrams.
- Implement security protocols firewalls and access controls.
- Experience implementing STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) on network equipment.
- Travel for this position can be up to 20% annually.
Frequently moves equipment weighingup to 35 pounds across campus for various needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10years of prior related experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI
- CompTIA Security CE Certification
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Poly Clearance
- Professional certifications such as CCNA CCNP or equivalent Arista certifications preferred.
- Experience with DOD encryption devices.
- Selfmotivated able to switch tasks easily work independently.
- Experience with the configuration and ability to manage Solarwinds.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
