Job Description

The Department of Music invites applications for an adjunct instructor of applied viola. This is a parttime nonbenefits eligible position. It will begin Fall 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide lessons to undergraduate music majors and minors as well as to other interested students who play in the Carthage Philharmonic.
  • There may be potential to teach graduate students in the Carthage master of music program if the candidate holds the appropriate degree and/or experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.M. in music required; doctorate needed to teach at the graduate level. Experience in string education is highly desirable.
