Role description:

The energy landscape as we know it is rapidly transforming. Join us as an Electrical Substation Engineer and youll have the opportunity to accelerate your career too. Youll be part of our industryleading team Transmissions and Distributions teams acting as partners to our clients building a deep understanding of their challenges and applying your expertise to solve them.

As a Substation Design Engineeryou will be working onengineering and construction projects primarily in industrial transmission/distribution and renewable sectors. You must be able to appreciate complex practical regulatory technical and commercial issues and to work constructively with a broad range of senior stakeholders.

Role accountabilities:

• Client liaison from initial contact through project delivery
• Delivering small to medium sized projects throughout project lifecycle
• Producing electrical engineering deliverables where appropriate
• Liaise with CAD Engineers to determine safe cost effectivesubstation design solutions

In addition you will assist in the delivery of projectrelated tasks to meet budget timeframe and quality targets promoting all facets of Arcadis services during interfaces with. Contributing towards the achievement of the divisional business plan your role will be key to maintain and exceed our clients expectations and to build networks within the industry.

In a sector that is changing so dramatically youll own your journey expanding your knowledge in areas youre passionate about and building the right career for you. The role requires a level of flexibility to visit site locations/ client offices across the UK as soon as we are able to do so.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience working as a substation/plant engineer to regulated industry standards
• Preparation of HV Substation primary equipment design deliverables feasibility studies reports programmes and cost estimating
• Broad knowledge of transmission technologies and a good understanding of how these technologies influence the operation and performance of the transmission system
• Can demonstrate success in delivering engineering and or projects safely to budget time and quality that meets customer expectations
• Ability of working with internal and external parties and working within a strong teamworking culture.
• Experience in writing clear and concise documentation.
